Another DAP-Line fills the order books of WSP

Thursday, 01 March 2012 15:36

Henan QuanShun Copper Co., Ltd. has issued an order to supply a complete degreasing, annealing and pickling line. The customer has been working in the copper semis production since 1984 and is now investing in new production facilities to produce strips of copper and copper alloys. The electrically heated plant is specified for strip widths up to 680 mm. It was especially important for the customer that the strip line is delivered according to the latest state of the art and with highest quality – made in Germany.

The DAP-Line will be delivered in 2013.

WSP has gained another contract to supply a strip annealing line for copper strips from China

Monday, 24 October 2011 12:43

Tongling Nonferrous Metals Group Co., Ltd. has issued an order for a DAP-line for the treatment of copper and copper alloy strips for strip thicknesses up to 650 mm to WSP.

The plant will be built in the proven floor construction, where coiler and decoiler are positioned side by side. Besides the well-proven WSP technology, the customer has been satisfied by the high manufacturing penetration of WSP. It is already the second strip line for a Chinese customer ordered at WSP within one year, entirely manufactured in Germany.

Gebr. Kemper has been investing in the further modernization of their annealing lines

Wednesday, 14 September 2011 12:12

Company Gebr. Kemper GmbH + Co. KG (Olpe, Germany) issued further orders to modernize their DAP-lines to WSP. For an annealing line, which was already extensively modernized by WSP concerning surface treatment and electrical equipment, Kemper now ordered a completely new heating part and several modifications to the cooling part of the strip floatation furnace. Besides increasing productivity and raising the maximum annealing temperature, also the high efficient use of energy is a focus of the project.

For a different annealing line, WSP provides among other things a bridle adapted to the available space, which ensures a separation between the low tension of the strip in the furnace and the higher tension in the pickling and brushing units.

Another WSP-Strip Floatation Furnace for copper alloys

Friday, 19 August 2011 14:14

Already in 2009 and 2010, WSP has successfully installed two floatation furnaces for copper alloy strips at Wieland-Werke AG, Vöhringen/Germany. Now Wieland-Werke AG has placed the order for the third strip flotation furnace of WSP to be installed at Vöhringen. It is a furnace for thick strips (strip thickness 0.3 to 2.2 mm) which will replace an existing strip floatation furnace. The new plant will take up production in summer 2012.

Successful modernization of a strip annealing line

Wednesday, 30 March 2011 13:08

WSP has completed the modernization of an existing strip annealing line for copper alloys successfully within the agreed short time frame.

The maximum strip speed of the line was increased and the degreasing unit as well as parts of the after-treatment were renewed. At the existing strip floatation furnace necessary repairs were executed. The existing control system was partly renewed.

Start of production occurred on time and acceptance of scope of delivery has already taken place.

One highlight of the modernization is the new finish brushing machine for narrow strips developed by WSP.

This novel machine can be used for abrasive brushing due to its special machine base and its shaft dimensions, although the shaft bearings are mounted at one side. It combines the good visibility of the brushing process of the one-sided machines with the low vibration mode of operation of the double-sided mounted brushing machines.
